السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا أَمِينَ اللَّهِ فِي أَرْضِهِ وَ حُجَّتَهُ عَلَى عِبَادِهِ (السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ) ، أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ جَاهَدْتَ فِي اللَّهِ حَقَّ جِهَادِهِ وَ عَمِلْتَ بِكِتَابِهِ وَ اتَّبَعْتَ سُنَنَ نَبِيِّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ حَتَّى دَعَاكَ اللَّهُ إِلَى جِوَارِهِ فَقَبَضَكَ إِلَيْهِ بِاخْتِيَارِهِ وَ أَلْزَمَ أَعْدَاءَكَ الْحُجَّةَ مَعَ مَا لَكَ مِنَ الْحُجَجِ الْبَالِغَةِ عَلَى جَمِيعِ خَلْقِهِ اللَّهُمَّ فَاجْعَلْ نَفْسِي مُطْمَئِنَّةً بِقَدَرِكَ رَاضِيَةً بِقَضَائِكَ مُولَعَةً بِذِكْرِكَ وَ دُعَائِكَ مُحِبَّةً لِصَفْوَةِ أَوْلِيَائِكَ مَحْبُوبَةً فِي أَرْضِكَ وَ سَمَائِكَ صَابِرَةً عَلَى نُزُولِ بَلائِكَ [شَاكِرَةً لِفَوَاضِلِ نَعْمَائِكَ ذَاكِرَةً لِسَوَابِغِ آلائِكَ ] مُشْتَاقَةً إِلَى فَرْحَةِ لِقَائِكَ مُتَزَوِّدَةً التَّقْوَى لِيَوْمِ جَزَائِكَ مُسْتَنَّةً بِسُنَنِ أَوْلِيَائِكَ مُفَارِقَةً لِأَخْلاقِ أَعْدَائِكَ مَشْغُولَةً عَنِ الدُّنْيَا بِحَمْدِكَ وَ ثَنَائِكَ.
Peace be upon you, O trustee of God on His earth and His Proof over His servants (peace be upon you, O Commander of the Faithful). I bear witness that you strove in the way of God as He truly deserves to be striven for, acted by His Book and followed the ways of His Prophet, God bless him and his family, until God called you to be near Him and took you to Himself by His own choice, and made the proof binding on your enemies, besides the conclusive proofs you hold over all His creation. O God, so make my soul at peace with Your decree, pleased with Your judgement, devoted to remembering You and calling upon You, loving the elect of Your friends, beloved on Your earth and in Your heaven, patient when Your trials descend, yearning for the joy of meeting You, taking piety as its provision for the Day of Your recompense, following the ways of Your friends, parting from the character of Your enemies, and occupied with praising and extolling You rather than with the world.
اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّ قُلُوبَ الْمُخْبِتِينَ إِلَيْكَ وَالِهَةٌ وَ سُبُلَ الرَّاغِبِينَ إِلَيْكَ شَارِعَةٌ وَ أَعْلامَ الْقَاصِدِينَ إِلَيْكَ وَاضِحَةٌ وَ أَفْئِدَةَ الْعَارِفِينَ مِنْكَ فَازِعَةِ وَ أَصْوَاتَ الدَّاعِينَ إِلَيْكَ صَاعِدَةٌ وَ أَبْوَابَ الْإِجَابَةِ لَهُمْ مُفَتَّحَةٌ وَ دَعْوَةَ مَنْ نَاجَاكَ مُسْتَجَابَةٌ وَ تَوْبَةَ مَنْ أَنَابَ إِلَيْكَ مَقْبُولَةٌ وَ عَبْرَةَ مَنْ بَكَى مِنْ خَوْفِكَ مَرْحُومَةٌ وَ الْإِغَاثَةَ لِمَنِ اسْتَغَاثَ بِكَ مَوْجُودَةٌ [مَبْذُولَةٌ] وَ الْإِعَانَةَ لِمَنِ اسْتَعَانَ بِكَ مَبْذُولَةٌ [مَوْجُودَةٌ] وَ عِدَاتِكَ لِعِبَادِكَ مُنْجَزَةٌ وَ زَلَلَ مَنِ اسْتَقَالَكَ مُقَالَةٌ وَ أَعْمَالَ الْعَامِلِينَ لَدَيْكَ مَحْفُوظَةٌ وَ أَرْزَاقَكَ إِلَى الْخَلائِقِ مِنْ لَدُنْكَ نَازِلَةٌ وَ عَوَائِدَ الْمَزِيدِ إِلَيْهِمْ وَاصِلَةٌ وَ ذُنُوبَ الْمُسْتَغْفِرِينَ مَغْفُورَةٌ وَ حَوَائِجَ خَلْقِكَ عِنْدَكَ مَقْضِيَّةٌ وَ جَوَائِزَ السَّائِلِينَ عِنْدَكَ مُوَفَّرَةٌ وَ عَوَائِدَ الْمَزِيدِ مُتَوَاتِرَةٌ وَ مَوَائِدَ الْمُسْتَطْعِمِينَ مُعَدَّةٌ وَ مَنَاهِلَ الظِّمَاءِ [لَدَيْكَ ] مُتْرَعَةٌ اللَّهُمَّ فَاسْتَجِبْ دُعَائِي وَ اقْبَلْ ثَنَائِي وَ اجْمَعْ بَيْنِي وَ بَيْنَ أَوْلِيَائِي بِحَقِّ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ عَلِيٍّ وَ فَاطِمَةَ وَ الْحَسَنِ وَ الْحُسَيْنِ إِنَّكَ وَلِيُّ نَعْمَائِي وَ مُنْتَهَى مُنَايَ وَ غَايَةُ رَجَائِي فِي مُنْقَلَبِي وَ مَثْوَايَ.
O God, the hearts of the humble are filled with longing for You, the paths of those who desire You lie open, the signposts of those who make their way to You are clear, the hearts of those who know You are in fearful awe of You, the voices of those who call upon You rise up, the doors of answer stand open for them, the prayer of whoever confides in You is answered, the repentance of whoever turns back to You is accepted, the tears of whoever weeps from fear of You are met with mercy, help is at hand for whoever cries to You for help, aid is given to whoever seeks Your aid, Your promises to Your servants are fulfilled, the slips of whoever asks You to pardon them are pardoned, the deeds of those who work are kept safe with You, Your provisions descend to all creatures from Your presence, the returns of increase reach them, the sins of those who seek forgiveness are forgiven, the needs of Your creation are fulfilled with You, the gifts of those who ask are plentiful with You, the returns of increase come one after another, the tables of those who seek food are spread, and the springs of the thirsty are full to the brim. O God, so answer my prayer, accept my praise, and bring me together with my friends, by the right of Muhammad, Ali, Fatima, al-Hasan and al-Husayn, for You are the Patron of my blessings, the utmost of my wishes and the goal of my hope in my return and my final abode.
أَنْتَ إِلَهِي وَ سَيِّدِي وَ مَوْلايَ اغْفِرْ لِأَوْلِيَائِنَا وَ كُفَّ عَنَّا أَعْدَاءَنَا وَ اشْغَلْهُمْ عَنْ أَذَانَا وَ أَظْهِرْ كَلِمَةَ الْحَقِّ وَ اجْعَلْهَا الْعُلْيَا وَ أَدْحِضْ كَلِمَةَ الْبَاطِلِ وَ اجْعَلْهَا السُّفْلَى إِنَّكَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
You are my God, my Lord and my Master. Forgive our friends, hold back our enemies from us, keep them too busy to harm us, make the word of truth prevail and make it the highest, refute the word of falsehood and make it the lowest. Indeed, You have power over all things.
