بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَ بِاللَّهِ اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ نُورا وَ طَهُورا وَ حِرْزا وَ شِفَاءً مِنْ كُلِّ دَاءٍ وَ سُقْمٍ وَ آفَةٍ وَ عَاهَةٍ اللَّهُمَّ طَهِّرْ بِهِ قَلْبِي وَ اشْرَحْ بِهِ صَدْرِي وَ سَهِّلْ لِي بِهِ أَمْرِي .
In the name of God and by God. O God, make it a light, a purification, a protection and a cure from every illness and sickness, every affliction and blight. O God, purify my heart with it, open my breast with it, and make my affair easy for me through it.
اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ كَبِيراً وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ كَثِيراً وَ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ بُكْرَةً وَ أَصِيلاً الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي هَدَانَا لِهَذَا وَ مَا كُنَّا لِنَهْتَدِيَ لَوْ لا أَنْ هَدَانَا اللَّهُ لَقَدْ جَاءَتْ رُسُلُ رَبِّنَا بِالْحَقِّ
God is the Greatest, greatly so; praise be to God abundantly; and glory be to God morning and evening. Praise be to God who guided us to this; we would never have been guided had God not guided us. The messengers of our Lord certainly came with the truth.
السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا خَاتَمَ النَّبِيِّينَ السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا سَيِّدَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا حَبِيبَ اللَّهِ السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا سَيِّدَ الْوَصِيِّينَ السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا قَائِدَ الْغُرِّ الْمُحَجَّلِينَ السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ فَاطِمَةَ سَيِّدَةِ نِسَاءِ الْعَالَمِينَ السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ وَ عَلَى الْأَئِمَّةِ مِنْ وُلْدِكَ السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَصِيَّ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا الصِّدِّيقُ الشَّهِيدُ السَّلامُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا مَلائِكَةَ اللَّهِ [رَبِّي ] الْمُقِيمِينَ فِي هَذَا الْمَقَامِ الشَّرِيفِ
Peace be upon you, O Messenger of God. Peace be upon you, O Prophet of God. Peace be upon you, O Seal of the Prophets. Peace be upon you, O master of the messengers. Peace be upon you, O beloved of God. Peace be upon you, O Commander of the Faithful. Peace be upon you, O master of the successors. Peace be upon you, O leader of those with radiant faces, hands and feet. Peace be upon you, O son of Fatima, mistress of the women of the worlds. Peace be upon you and upon the Imams from your descendants. Peace be upon you, O successor of the Commander of the Faithful. Peace be upon you, O truthful martyr. Peace be upon you, O angels of God who dwell in this noble place.
السَّلامُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا مَلائِكَةَ رَبِّي الْمُحْدِقِينَ بِقَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ عليه السلام السَّلامُ عَلَيْكُمْ مِنِّي أَبَداً مَا بَقِيتُ وَ بَقِيَ اللَّيْلُ وَ النَّهَارُ
Peace be upon you, O angels of my Lord who encircle the grave of al-Husayn, peace be upon him. Peace be upon you from me forever, as long as I remain and as long as night and day remain.
السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَبْدُكَ وَ ابْنُ عَبْدِكَ وَ ابْنُ أَمَتِكَ الْمُقِرُّ بِالرِّقِّ وَ التَّارِكُ لِلْخِلافِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَ الْمُوَالِي لِوَلِيِّكُمْ وَ الْمُعَادِي لِعَدُوِّكُمْ قَصَدَ حَرَمَكَ وَ اسْتَجَارَ بِمَشْهَدِكَ وَ تَقَرَّبَ إِلَيْكَ بِقَصْدِكَ أَ أَدْخُلُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَ أَدْخُلُ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ أَ أَدْخُلُ يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَ أَدْخُلُ يَا سَيِّدَ الْوَصِيِّينَ أَ أَدْخُلُ يَا فَاطِمَةُ سَيِّدَةَ نِسَاءِ الْعَالَمِينَ أَ أَدْخُلُ يَا مَوْلايَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَ أَدْخُلُ يَا مَوْلايَ يَا ابْنَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ.
Peace be upon you, O Aba Abdillah. Peace be upon you, O son of the Messenger of God. Peace be upon you, O son of the Commander of the Faithful. Your servant, the son of your servant and the son of your handmaid, who acknowledges his bondage, who has abandoned opposition to you, who befriends your friend and is hostile to your enemy, has set out for your sanctuary, sought refuge at your shrine, and drawn near to you by journeying to you. May I enter, O Messenger of God? May I enter, O Prophet of God? May I enter, O Commander of the Faithful? May I enter, O master of the successors? May I enter, O Fatima, mistress of the women of the worlds? May I enter, O my Master, O Aba Abdillah? May I enter, O my Master, O son of the Messenger of God?
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الْوَاحِدِ الْأَحَدِ الْفَرْدِ الصَّمَدِ الَّذِي هَدَانِي لوِلايَتِكَ وَ خَصَّنِي بِزِيَارَتِكَ وَ سَهَّلَ لِي قَصْدَكَ.
Praise be to God, the One, the Unique, the Single, the Everlasting Refuge, who guided me to your guardianship, singled me out to visit you, and made it easy for me to come to you.
السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ آدَمَ صَفْوَةِ اللَّهِ السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ نُوحٍ نَبِيِّ اللَّهِ السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ خَلِيلِ اللَّهِ السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ مُوسَى كَلِيمِ اللَّهِ السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ عِيسَى رُوحِ اللَّهِ السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ مُحَمَّدٍ حَبِيبِ اللَّهِ السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عليه السلام [وَلِيِّ اللَّهِ ] السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُصْطَفَى السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ عَلِيٍّ الْمُرْتَضَى السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ فَاطِمَةَ الزَّهْرَاءِ السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ خَدِيجَةَ الْكُبْرَى السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ثَارَ اللَّهِ وَ ابْنَ ثَارِهِ وَ الْوِتْرَ الْمَوْتُورَ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ قَدْ أَقَمْتَ الصَّلاةَ وَ آتَيْتَ الزَّكَاةَ وَ أَمَرْتَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَ نَهَيْتَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ وَ أَطَعْتَ اللَّهَ وَ رَسُولَهُ حَتَّى أَتَاكَ الْيَقِينُ فَلَعَنَ اللَّهُ أُمَّةً قَتَلَتْكَ وَ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ أُمَّةً ظَلَمَتْكَ،
Peace be upon you, O heir of Adam, the chosen of God. Peace be upon you, O heir of Noah, the prophet of God. Peace be upon you, O heir of Abraham, the intimate friend of God. Peace be upon you, O heir of Moses, the one to whom God spoke. Peace be upon you, O heir of Jesus, the spirit of God. Peace be upon you, O heir of Muhammad, the beloved of God. Peace be upon you, O heir of the Commander of the Faithful, peace be upon him. Peace be upon you, O son of Muhammad the Chosen One. Peace be upon you, O son of Ali the Approved One. Peace be upon you, O son of Fatima the Radiant. Peace be upon you, O son of Khadija the Great. Peace be upon you, O one whose blood God will avenge, and son of the one whose blood He will avenge, and O lone one, wronged and left unavenged. I bear witness that you established the prayer, gave the alms, enjoined what is right and forbade what is wrong, and obeyed God and His Messenger until certainty came to you. So may God curse a people who killed you, and may God curse a people who wronged you,
وَ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ أُمَّةً سَمِعَتْ بِذَلِكَ فَرَضِيَتْ بِهِ يَا مَوْلايَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ كُنْتَ نُورا فِي الْأَصْلابِ الشَّامِخَةِ وَ الْأَرْحَامِ الْمُطَهَّرَةِ لَمْ تُنَجِّسْكَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةُ بِأَنْجَاسِهَا وَ لَمْ تُلْبِسْكَ مِنْ مُدْلَهِمَّاتِ ثِيَابِهَا وَ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ مِنْ دَعَائِمِ الدِّينِ وَ أَرْكَانِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ الْإِمَامُ الْبَرُّ التَّقِيُّ الرَّضِيُّ الزَّكِيُّ الْهَادِي الْمَهْدِيُّ وَ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ الْأَئِمَّةَ مِنْ وُلْدِكَ كَلِمَةُ التَّقْوَى وَ أَعْلامُ الْهُدَى وَ الْعُرْوَةُ الْوُثْقَى وَ الْحُجَّةُ عَلَى أَهْلِ الدُّنْيَا وَ أُشْهِدُ اللَّهَ وَ مَلائِكَتَهُ وَ أَنْبِيَاءَهُ وَ رُسُلَهُ أَنِّي بِكُمْ مُؤْمِنٌ وَ بِإِيَابِكُمْ [بِآيَاتِكُمْ ] مُوقِنٌ بِشَرَائِعِ دِينِي وَ خَوَاتِيمِ عَمَلِي وَ قَلْبِي لِقَلْبِكُمْ سِلْمٌ وَ أَمْرِي لِأَمْرِكُمْ مُتَّبِعٌ صَلَوَاتُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَ عَلَى أَرْوَاحِكُمْ وَ عَلَى أَجْسَادِكُمْ وَ عَلَى أَجْسَامِكُمْ وَ عَلَى شَاهِدِكُمْ وَ عَلَى غَائِبِكُمْ وَ عَلَى ظَاهِرِكُمْ وَ عَلَى بَاطِنِكُمْ.
and may God curse a people who heard of that and were pleased with it. O my Master, O Abu Abdillah, I bear witness that you were a light in the lofty loins and the purified wombs; the Age of Ignorance did not defile you with its impurities, nor did it clothe you in any of its pitch-dark garments. I bear witness that you are one of the pillars of the religion and the mainstays of the believers. I bear witness that you are the Imam, the righteous, the God-fearing, the well-pleasing, the pure, the guide, the rightly guided. I bear witness that the Imams from your descendants are the word of God-consciousness, the signposts of guidance, the firmest handhold, and the Proof over the people of the world. I call God, His angels, His prophets and His messengers to witness that I believe in you and am certain of your return, with the laws of my religion and the final seals of my deeds; my heart is at peace with your heart, and my affair follows your affair. The blessings of God be upon you, upon your souls, upon your bodies, upon your frames, upon those of you present and upon those of you absent, upon your outward and upon your inward.
بِأَبِي أَنْتَ وَ أُمِّي يَا ابْنَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ بِأَبِي أَنْتَ وَ أُمِّي يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ لَقَدْ عَظُمَتِ الرَّزِيَّةُ وَ جَلَّتِ الْمُصِيبَةُ بِكَ عَلَيْنَا وَ عَلَى جَمِيعِ أَهْلِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَ الْأَرْضِ فَلَعَنَ اللَّهُ أُمَّةً أَسْرَجَتْ وَ أَلْجَمَتْ وَ تَهَيَّأَتْ لِقِتَالِكَ يَا مَوْلايَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَصَدْتُ حَرَمَكَ وَ أَتَيْتُ إِلَى مَشْهَدِكَ أَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ بِالشَّأْنِ الَّذِي لَكَ عِنْدَهُ وَ بِالْمَحَلِّ الَّذِي لَكَ لَدَيْهِ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مَعَكُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَ الْآخِرَةِ.
May my father and my mother be your ransom, O son of the Messenger of God. May my father and my mother be your ransom, O Abu Abdillah. Indeed, the calamity has become great, and the tragedy over you has weighed heavy upon us and upon all the inhabitants of the heavens and the earth. So may God curse a people who saddled, bridled and made ready to fight you. O my Master, O Abu Abdillah, I have set out for your sanctuary and come to your shrine. I ask God, by the standing you have with Him and the station you hold in His presence, to bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, and to place me with you in this world and the hereafter.
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي صَلَّيْتُ وَ رَكَعْتُ وَ سَجَدْتُ لَكَ وَحْدَكَ لا شَرِيكَ لَكَ لِأَنَّ الصَّلاةَ وَ الرُّكُوعَ وَ السُّجُودَ لا يَكُونُ إِلّا لَكَ لِأَنَّكَ أَنْتَ اللَّهُ لا إِلَهَ إِلّا أَنْتَ اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ أَبْلِغْهُمْ عَنِّي أَفْضَلَ السَّلامِ وَ التَّحِيَّةِ وَ ارْدُدْ عَلَيَّ مِنْهُمُ السَّلامَ اللَّهُمَّ وَ هَاتَانِ الرَّكْعَتَانِ هَدِيَّةٌ مِنِّي إِلَى مَوْلايَ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَلَيْهِمَا السَّلامُ اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ عَلَيْهِ وَ تَقَبَّلْ مِنِّي وَ أْجُرْنِي عَلَى ذَلِكَ بِأَفْضَلِ أَمَلِي وَ رَجَائِي فِيكَ وَ فِي وَلِيِّكَ يَا وَلِيَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ.
O God, I have prayed, bowed and prostrated to You alone, You who have no partner, for prayer, bowing and prostration are for none but You, because You are God; there is no god but You. O God, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, convey to them from me the best of greetings and salutations, and return their greeting to me. O God, these two units of prayer are a gift from me to my Master al-Husayn ibn Ali, peace be upon them both. O God, bless Muhammad and him, accept this from me, and reward me for it with the best of my hope and expectation in You and in Your friend, O Friend of the believers.
السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ نَبِيِّ اللَّهِ السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ الْحُسَيْنِ الشَّهِيدِ السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا الشَّهِيدُ السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا الْمَظْلُومُ وَ ابْنُ الْمَظْلُومِ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ أُمَّةً قَتَلَتْكَ وَ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ أُمَّةً ظَلَمَتْكَ وَ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ أُمَّةً سَمِعَتْ بِذَلِكَ فَرَضِيَتْ بِهِ.
Peace be upon you, O son of the Messenger of God. Peace be upon you, O son of the Prophet of God. Peace be upon you, O son of the Commander of the Faithful. Peace be upon you, O son of al-Husayn the martyr. Peace be upon you, O martyr. Peace be upon you, O wronged one and son of the wronged one. May God curse the people who killed you, may God curse the people who wronged you, and may God curse the people who heard of it and were pleased with it.
السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَلِيَّ اللَّهِ وَ ابْنَ وَلِيِّهِ لَقَدْ عَظُمَتِ الْمُصِيبَةُ وَ جَلَّتِ الرَّزِيَّةُ بِكَ عَلَيْنَا وَ عَلَى جَمِيعِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ فَلَعَنَ اللَّهُ أُمَّةً قَتَلَتْكَ وَ أَبْرَأُ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَ إِلَيْكَ مِنْهُمْ.
Peace be upon you, O friend of God and son of His friend. Great indeed is the calamity and grave the tragedy over you, for us and for all the Muslims. So may God curse the people who killed you, and I declare my disavowal of them before God and before you.
السَّلامُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا أَوْلِيَاءَ اللَّهِ وَ أَحِبَّاءَهُ السَّلامُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا أَصْفِيَاءَ اللَّهِ وَ أَوِدَّاءَهُ السَّلامُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا أَنْصَارَ دِينِ اللَّهِ السَّلامُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا أَنْصَارَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ السَّلامُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا أَنْصَارَ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ السَّلامُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا أَنْصَارَ فَاطِمَةَ سَيِّدَةِ نِسَاءِ الْعَالَمِينَ السَّلامُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا أَنْصَارَ أَبِي مُحَمَّدٍ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْوَلِيِّ [الزَّكِيِ ] النَّاصِحِ السَّلامُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا أَنْصَارَ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بِأَبِي أَنْتُمْ وَ أُمِّي طِبْتُمْ وَ طَابَتِ الْأَرْضُ الَّتِي [أَنْتُمْ ] فِيهَا دُفِنْتُمْ وَ فُزْتُمْ فَوْزا عَظِيما فَيَا لَيْتَنِي كُنْتُ مَعَكُمْ فَأَفُوزَ مَعَكُمْ .
Peace be upon you, O friends of God and His beloved ones. Peace be upon you, O chosen ones of God and His dear ones. Peace be upon you, O helpers of the religion of God. Peace be upon you, O helpers of the Messenger of God. Peace be upon you, O helpers of the Commander of the Faithful. Peace be upon you, O helpers of Fatima, mistress of the women of the worlds. Peace be upon you, O helpers of Abu Muhammad al-Hasan ibn Ali, the guardian, the sincere counsellor. Peace be upon you, O helpers of Abu Abdillah. May my father and my mother be your ransom! You were pure, and pure is the earth in which you were buried, and you have attained a mighty triumph. If only I had been with you, so that I might have triumphed with you.
