Du'a al-Ahd

اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ النُّورِ الْعَظِيمِ وَ رَبَّ الْكُرْسِيِّ الرَّفِيعِ وَ رَبَّ الْبَحْرِ الْمَسْجُورِ وَ مُنْزِلَ التَّوْرَاةِ وَ الْإِنْجِيلِ وَ الزَّبُورِ وَ رَبَّ الظِّلِّ وَ الْحَرُورِ وَ مُنْزِلَ الْقُرْآنِ [الْفُرْقَانِ ] الْعَظِيمِ وَ رَبَّ الْمَلائِكَةِ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ وَ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ [وَ] الْمُرْسَلِينَ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِوَجْهِكَ [بِاسْمِكَ ] الْكَرِيمِ وَ بِنُورِ وَجْهِكَ الْمُنِيرِ وَ مُلْكِكَ الْقَدِيمِ يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّومُ أَسْأَلُكَ بِاسْمِكَ الَّذِي أَشْرَقَتْ بِهِ السَّمَاوَاتُ وَ الْأَرَضُونَ وَ بِاسْمِكَ الَّذِي يَصْلَحُ بِهِ الْأَوَّلُونَ وَ الْآخِرُونَ يَا حَيّاً قَبْلَ كُلِّ حَيٍّ وَ يَا حَيّا بَعْدَ كُلِّ حَيٍّ وَ يَا حَيّاً حِينَ لا حَيَّ يَا مُحْيِيَ الْمَوْتَى وَ مُمِيتَ الْأَحْيَاءِ يَا حَيُّ لا إِلَهَ إِلا أَنْتَ.

O God, Lord of the mighty light, Lord of the exalted Seat, Lord of the surging sea, Sender of the Torah, the Gospel and the Psalms, Lord of the shade and the scorching heat, Sender of the mighty Quran, Lord of the angels brought near and of the prophets who were sent. O God, I ask You by Your noble face, by the light of Your radiant face and by Your eternal kingdom. O Ever-Living, O Self-Subsisting, I ask You by Your name with which the heavens and the earths were illuminated, and by Your name through which the first and the last are set right. O Living One before every living thing, O Living One after every living thing, O Living One when there is no living thing, O Giver of life to the dead and Bringer of death to the living, O Ever-Living, there is no god but You.

اللَّهُمَّ بَلِّغْ مَوْلانَا الْإِمَامَ الْهَادِيَ الْمَهْدِيَّ الْقَائِمَ بِأَمْرِكَ صَلَوَاتُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَ عَلَى آبَائِهِ الطَّاهِرِينَ عَنْ جَمِيعِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ فِي مَشَارِقِ الْأَرْضِ وَ مَغَارِبِهَا سَهْلِهَا وَ جَبَلِهَا وَ بَرِّهَا وَ بَحْرِهَا وَ عَنِّي وَ عَنْ وَالِدَيَّ مِنَ الصَّلَوَاتِ زِنَةَ عَرْشِ اللَّهِ وَ مِدَادَ كَلِمَاتِهِ وَ مَا أَحْصَاهُ عِلْمُهُ [كِتَابُهُ ] وَ أَحَاطَ بِهِ كِتَابُهُ [عِلْمُهُ ] اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أُجَدِّدُ لَهُ فِي صَبِيحَةِ يَوْمِي هَذَا وَ مَا عِشْتُ مِنْ أَيَّامِي عَهْدا وَ عَقْدا وَ بَيْعَةً لَهُ فِي عُنُقِي لا أَحُولُ عَنْهَا وَ لا أَزُولُ أَبَدا اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِي مِنْ أَنْصَارِهِ وَ أَعْوَانِهِ وَ الذَّابِّينَ عَنْهُ وَ الْمُسَارِعِينَ إِلَيْهِ فِي قَضَاءِ حَوَائِجِهِ [وَ الْمُمْتَثِلِينَ لِأَوَامِرِهِ ] وَ الْمُحَامِينَ عَنْهُ وَ السَّابِقِينَ إِلَى إِرَادَتِهِ وَ الْمُسْتَشْهَدِينَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ اللَّهُمَّ إِنْ حَالَ بَيْنِي وَ بَيْنَهُ الْمَوْتُ الَّذِي جَعَلْتَهُ عَلَى عِبَادِكَ حَتْماً مَقْضِيّاً ،

O God, convey to our Master, the Imam, the Guide, al-Mahdi, the one who rises by Your command, God's blessings be upon him and upon his pure forefathers, from all the believing men and believing women in the easts of the earth and its wests, its plains and its mountains, its land and its sea, and from me and from my parents, blessings equal to the weight of God's throne, the ink of His words, and all that His knowledge has counted and His book has encompassed. O God, I renew for him, on the morning of this day of mine and for as long as I live of my days, a pledge, a covenant and an oath of allegiance to him upon my neck, from which I shall never turn away and never depart. O God, make me one of his supporters and his helpers, of those who defend him, who hasten to him in fulfilling his needs, who protect him, who race to carry out his will and who are martyred before him. O God, if death, which You have made a decreed certainty for Your servants, comes between me and him,

فَأَخْرِجْنِي مِنْ قَبْرِي مُؤْتَزِراً كَفَنِي شَاهِراً سَيْفِي مُجَرِّداً قَنَاتِي مُلَبِّياً دَعْوَةَ الدَّاعِي فِي الْحَاضِرِ وَ الْبَادِي اللَّهُمَّ أَرِنِي الطَّلْعَةَ الرَّشِيدَةَ وَ الْغُرَّةَ الْحَمِيدَةَ وَ اكْحُلْ نَاظِرِي بِنَظْرَةٍ مِنِّي إِلَيْهِ وَ عَجِّلْ فَرَجَهُ وَ سَهِّلْ مَخْرَجَهُ وَ أَوْسِعْ مَنْهَجَهُ وَ اسْلُكْ بِي مَحَجَّتَهُ وَ أَنْفِذْ أَمْرَهُ وَ اشْدُدْ أَزْرَهُ وَ اعْمُرِ اللَّهُمَّ بِهِ بِلادَكَ وَ أَحْيِ بِهِ عِبَادَكَ فَإِنَّكَ قُلْتَ وَ قَوْلُكَ الْحَقُّ ظَهَرَ الْفَسَادُ فِي الْبَرِّ وَ الْبَحْرِ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ أَيْدِي النَّاسِ فَأَظْهِرِ اللَّهُمَّ لَنَا وَلِيَّكَ وَ ابْنَ بِنْتِ نَبِيِّكَ الْمُسَمَّى بِاسْمِ رَسُولِكَ،

then bring me out of my grave wrapped in my shroud, my sword unsheathed, my spear bared, answering the call of the caller in the towns and in the deserts. O God, show me the rightly guided countenance and the praiseworthy brow, and anoint my eyes with a glance from me towards him. Hasten his relief, ease his coming forth, widen his path, lead me along his road, carry out his command and strengthen his back. O God, make Your lands flourish through him and revive Your servants through him, for You have said, and Your word is the truth: corruption has appeared on the land and in the sea because of what the hands of people have earned. So reveal to us, O God, Your friend, the son of Your Prophet's daughter, who bears the name of Your Messenger,

حَتَّى لا يَظْفَرَ بِشَيْءٍ مِنَ الْبَاطِلِ إِلا مَزَّقَهُ وَ يُحِقَّ الْحَقَّ وَ يُحَقِّقَهُ وَ اجْعَلْهُ اللَّهُمَّ مَفْزَعاً لِمَظْلُومِ عِبَادِكَ وَ نَاصِراً لِمَنْ لا يَجِدُ لَهُ نَاصِراً غَيْرَكَ وَ مُجَدِّداً لِمَا عُطِّلَ مِنْ أَحْكَامِ كِتَابِكَ وَ مُشَيِّداً لِمَا وَرَدَ مِنْ أَعْلامِ دِينِكَ وَ سُنَنِ نَبِيِّكَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ وَ اجْعَلْهُ اللَّهُمَّ مِمَّنْ حَصَّنْتَهُ مِنْ بَأْسِ الْمُعْتَدِينَ اللَّهُمَّ وَ سُرَّ نَبِيَّكَ مُحَمَّداً صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ بِرُؤْيَتِهِ وَ مَنْ تَبِعَهُ عَلَى دَعْوَتِهِ وَ ارْحَمِ اسْتِكَانَتَنَا بَعْدَهُ اللَّهُمَّ اكْشِفْ هَذِهِ الْغُمَّةَ عَنْ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ بِحُضُورِهِ وَ عَجِّلْ لَنَا ظُهُورَهُ إِنَّهُمْ يَرَوْنَهُ بَعِيدا وَ نَرَاهُ قَرِيبا بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ .

so that he lays hold of nothing false without tearing it apart, and so that he establishes the truth and makes it real. Make him, O God, a refuge for the oppressed among Your servants, a helper for the one who finds no helper but You, a renewer of what has been abandoned of the rulings of Your book, and a builder of what has come down of the signs of Your religion and the ways of Your Prophet, God bless him and his family. And make him, O God, one of those whom You have shielded from the violence of the aggressors. O God, gladden Your Prophet Muhammad, God bless him and his family, by the sight of him, and gladden all who followed him in his call, and have mercy on our helplessness after him. O God, lift this grief from this community by his presence, and hasten his appearance for us; they see it as far off, but we see it as near, by Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful.

الْعَجَلَ الْعَجَلَ يَا مَوْلايَ يَا صَاحِبَ الزَّمَانِ

Hasten, hasten, O my Master, O Master of the Age!
