Du'a of Tuesday

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَ الْحَمْدُ حَقُّهُ كَمَا يَسْتَحِقُّهُ حَمْداً كَثِيراً وَ أَعُوذُ بِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ نَفْسِي إِنَّ النَّفْسَ لَأَمَّارَةٌ بِالسُّوءِ إِلا مَا رَحِمَ رَبِّي وَ أَعُوذُ بِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ الشَّيْطَانِ الَّذِي يَزِيدُنِي ذَنْباً إِلَى ذَنْبِي وَ أَحْتَرِزُ بِهِ مِنْ كُلِّ جَبَّارٍ فَاجِرٍ وَ سُلْطَانٍ جَائِرٍ وَ عَدُوٍّ قَاهِرٍ اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِي مِنْ جُنْدِكَ فَإِنَّ جُنْدَكَ هُمُ الْغَالِبُونَ وَ اجْعَلْنِي مِنْ حِزْبِكَ فَإِنَّ حِزْبَكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ،

Praise be to God, and praise is His due, as He deserves it, abundant praise. I seek refuge in Him from the evil of my own soul, for the soul is ever inciting to evil, except what my Lord has mercy upon. I seek refuge in Him from the evil of Satan, who adds sin upon my sin, and I take shelter in Him from every wicked tyrant, every unjust ruler and every overpowering enemy. O God, make me one of Your soldiers, for Your soldiers are the victorious; and make me one of Your party, for Your party are the successful;

وَ اجْعَلْنِي مِنْ أَوْلِيَائِكَ فَإِنَّ أَوْلِيَاءَكَ لا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَ لا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ اللَّهُمَّ أَصْلِحْ لِي دِينِي فَإِنَّهُ عِصْمَةُ أَمْرِي وَ أَصْلِحْ لِي آخِرَتِي فَإِنَّهَا دَارُ مَقَرِّي وَ إِلَيْهَا مِنْ مُجَاوَرَةِ اللِّئَامِ مَفَرِّي وَ اجْعَلِ الْحَيَاةَ زِيَادَةً لِي فِي كُلِّ خَيْرٍ وَ الْوَفَاةَ رَاحَةً لِي مِنْ كُلِّ شَرٍ اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ خَاتَمِ النَّبِيِّينَ ،

and make me one of Your friends, for Your friends shall have no fear, nor shall they grieve. O God, set right for me my religion, for it is the safeguard of my affair; and set right for me my hereafter, for it is the abode where I shall dwell, and to it is my flight from the company of the ignoble. Make life an increase for me in every good, and death a rest for me from every evil. O God, bless Muhammad, the seal of the prophets,

وَ تَمَامِ عِدَّةِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ وَ عَلَى آلِهِ الطَّيِّبِينَ الطَّاهِرِينَ وَ أَصْحَابِهِ الْمُنْتَجَبِينَ وَ هَبْ لِي فِي الثُّلَثَاءِ ثَلاثاً لا تَدَعْ لِي ذَنْباً إِلا غَفَرْتَهُ وَ لا غَمّاً إِلا أَذْهَبْتَهُ وَ لا عَدُوّاً إِلّا دَفَعْتَهُ بِبِسْمِ اللَّهِ خَيْرِ الْأَسْمَاءِ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ رَبِّ الْأَرْضِ وَ السَّمَاءِ أَسْتَدْفِعُ كُلَّ مَكْرُوهٍ أَوَّلُهُ سَخَطُهُ وَ أَسْتَجْلِبُ كُلَّ مَحْبُوبٍ أَوَّلُهُ رِضَاهُ فَاخْتِمْ لِي مِنْكَ بِالْغُفْرَانِ يَا وَلِيَّ الْإِحْسَانِ

and the completion of the number of the messengers, and his family, the good, the pure, and his chosen companions. Grant me on Tuesday three things: leave me no sin but that You forgive it, no grief but that You remove it, and no enemy but that You repel it. By the name of God, the best of names, by the name of God, Lord of the earth and the sky, I ward off everything hateful, foremost of which is His displeasure, and I draw to myself everything beloved, foremost of which is His good pleasure. So seal for me with forgiveness from You, O Patron of beneficence.
